Gasoline Prices

I can't believe how much gasoline has gone up in the last two weeks. And furthermore, how different it is in different parts of the SF Bay Area.

Without getting into the politics of it, what are gas prices where you live?

We live in Philadelphia. The prices are rising about 11 cents a week and the war hasn't even begun.
Regular $1.59
Plus $1.69
Super $1.79

In Naples, Florida $1.89 for high test, which I need.

They say the problem is that they failed to do an oil check. It seems that all the oil supplies for the states were in Alaska, Texas, and Louisiana, but all the dipsticks were in Washington.

I paid $2.02 for premium gas in Palo Alto at a Union 76 station last weekend. That day, I noticed the price for the same gas at a San Francisco Union 76 was $2.16. The Union 76 in South San Jose where I work is always about $.05 to $.07 cheaper.

Yesterday $1.619 in Durham NC. I think it was $1.599 on Monday. The discount Kroger gas price was $1.559 yesterday, but has been going up a penny a day this week.

GoTravel, the price of gas in NC has always been posted with 3 numbers after the decimal point. the third number is always a 9 in very small type, almost looks like the price is to the ninth power.

At the pump, it will show the price of gas to the third decimal point, but the cost to the buyer with two numbers after the decimal points.

I don't know if 9/10ths of a cent really matters much in the price of gasoline.

$1.65 or so for regular unleaded outside of Boston - but that was a couple days ago, so it's likely more now.

Our gas pricing has always included the 9/10ths of a cent as well.

About $1.42 last week here in southeast Iowa; now it's $1.58 (for the moment anyway). Headed to Hawaii next week for vacation - can't wait to see what the price will be there to fill the rental car....
