Gas Prices on Kauai
 

We will be going to Kauai, The Last 10 days of Sept.'02. Can anyone tell us how much a gallon of gas cost's? We will be staying in the South side of Kauai.Mahalo!

In June, it was about 1.79/gal, I believe.

Why do you want to know? Will it make a difference as to whether or not you go? I can't believe the price of gas would have that much of an effect on traveling there.

Hi,<BR><BR>We were just there the beginning of July and it was high! $1.??? We stayed just north of the airport. There is a Shell station in Lihue that has a low rate for gas. (Also, on certain days, they have discounts!)<BR><BR>Our car rental company had an offer to fill the tank at the lowest (which it was...) only if you return the car with an empty tank. You have to do a lot of driving to use a tank of gas!<BR><BR>Enjoy your trip!

Certainly has to much cheaper than our gas here in Cordova AK...$2.19/gal!!!<BR>
