Gosh, Dusty, you forgot to mention Halliburton. It must be a conspiracy. I can see the black helicopters now. HELP!!!!!

Better yet, take a course in ECON 101.

For your info, I've taken several economics courses.

I just don't like the cost of oil/gasoline prices rising the way they did.

Last month the reason was China using too much oil.

The month before, it was hurricanes.

The month before that, it was SUVs.

The month before that, it was OPEC.

How about the main reason!

Bush attacked Iraq and now the oil output from Iraq is far less that in was before Bush attacked Iraq. If Iraq had started producing more oil as the Bush Administration claimed it would instead of far less, there would not be the problems with oil & gasoline prices.

Would they have risen? Yes. Would they have risen as far as they did had Bush not lied about Iraq and attacked Iraq. No!

And it doesn't take an economic major to see that!

We aren't planning a major road trip this year, but I doubt gas prices would affect our decision if we were. We have a fuel efficient car, so the rise in gas prices doesn't affect us like it does some people. We also bought our house close to my office and public transportation, so we don't use a whole lot of gas on a day to day basis. The rise in heating and electicity costs didn't affect us much either - our usage is pretty low to begin with.

The Bush administration's threats againt Iran are also raising the cost of oil on the world markets as speculators consider the posibility of US assults in that country.

Dusty, What lies are you talking about? I could give you 100 quotes from all the "girlie men" who swore up and down before Congress concerning the same intelligence that everyone in the the U.S. and Western Europe had concerning Iraq. "Don't try to rewrite history."

Don't let your hatred for George W. Bush get in the way of the facts.

You left out the facts that the environmental wackos won't let us build any new refineries or explore the "tundra" in anwr for oil or drill off shore. That also affects the price of oil.

And what about the taxes on a gallon of gas?
