GAS AVAILIBILITY

I plan to drive from Cape Cod to Miami (October)via W DC and US 17.
Shall I meet problems for gas availibility?

Bonjour and welcome to our country, Alain. I hope your trip is wonderful and you enjoy yourself immensely. There are areas of the country with limited gas supplies right now, but that seems to be easing. When are you arriving?

The shortages are probably temporary; by October the distribution system will be back to nearly normal.

Alain, please drive US 17 from Charleston SC south as you will drive through one of the most gorgeous stretches of highway in the US, the ACE Basin. Simply breathtaking.

Another great drive that time of year is getting off I-95 in Jacksonville/St.Augustine and driving to Miami via AIA.

Pack a cooler, beach chairs and a bathing suite and stop at some of the most breathtaking beaches in the US; the unspoiled beaches of Florida's East Coast. Stop where you want to swim and hang out at the beach for a couple of hours.

A great place to overnight is New Smyrna Beach and The Riverview Inn. It is just south of Daytona Beach.

St. Augustine is also great for an overnight.

It is a lovely drive and one of the best vacations I've ever taken.
