Garment bag for business travel

Hi folks. I've been reading this board for years, but this is my first time to actually post.

I would like to buy my husband a new garment bag for Father's Day, and was wondering if any of you business travellers might be able to help with suggestions.

He travels quite a bit, at least twice a month, for 3-6 days at a time, and must pack suits as well as casual clothing. I would like to get a high quality wheeled bag but pay no more than 300 dollars.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Xenopi,

I don't know where you live, but there's a Hartmann outlet in Woodbury Commons in NY state. You can get a wheeled garment bag for about $300. They discount by 60%. I would imagine that they have add'l outlets around the country.

We just bought a whole new set from them for less than $1,000.

I love the quality of my luggage from LL Bean. You may want to check online and/or call to request a catalog.

Check out the Ricardo "suiters" (ebags.com, etc.)

My husband loves these. Has two sizes, depending upon length of trip. The jackets and trenchcoat go in the "suiter" section. The very top section (just under the outside pockets) is perfect for slacks (folded in half arrive wrinkle free). Everything else goes into the main compartment which is beautifully organized with zipped/snap out toiletry bag, even a shoe bag.

One of them even expands, but he's never needed to do that.
