Garden Store near Boston

I've heard of a store near Boston (might be closer to Worcester), I think it might be on Rt 9, that is supposed to have a great selection of things like garden statuary, fountains, that kind of thing. Now that I actually have time to go there I cannot find the name or location. Does anyone know the place I'm talking about? Thanks

I have the misfortune of driving along Rte 9 often for work - can't think of place offhand and won't be there until January, but will keep my eye out for it.

Try asking this question on gardenweb.com - go to the garden section, click on north, then click on New England. You'll have to register for the forum to post a question.

There was a fabulous garden store in West Newton some years ago, visible from the MassPike, called Clapper's.

They are now in Sudbury, according to Google, on Route 20, not Route 9. They had and presumably still have fabulous high end things like French watering cans that would do the gardeners at Versailles proud.

I know the place, although I have to admit, i've never been in there. Its kind of a dumpy looking place. And I haven't a clue what the name of it is. they do have lots of statues though. It's on the eastbound side of route 9 in Westboro. I think it is just a little bit east of Speedway Plaza (which is where BJ's was, before it moved in next to Wegmans).

If you are looking for garden ornaments in this area, another great place to go is the gift shop at Tower Hill Botanical Garden. I've bought several small critter statues there, and I love them.

By the way, I'm not sure where you are coming from, but I would not drive out here from Boston for this shop. I can't imagine its worth the trip. if you live in the burbs and want to check it out, that's a different matter.

Thanks for the replies. It is driving me crazy that I can't remember the name of the place. The website looked great. I'll keep googling it and try some of the places you have suggested to see if any of them are it.

I think it might be called Hardwicke Gardens Statuary (at least that's what shows on google maps), but I can't find a website for them.
