I have a daughter living there and I visit Gainesville often. There are a good many nice restaurants, and many nice areas for homes. The only problem that I saw was traffic in the morning was terrible, but then I live in a small town, so those who live in the city might not think the traffic is bad.

Gainesville is like any other part of North Florida, its very different from the rest of the State. It has nothing to do with the fact its a big college town but im not saying it dont influence life there. You are either going to love it or hate it.
