funky town like Key West

Does anyone know of a funky town like Key West (laid back, lots of music, no car necessary) anywhere else in Florida? My husband and I are looking for a warm place a little less expensive to get to for Feb 2007.
Is Hollywood Beach like that?

If you've been to Key West and liked it, I think you're going to be disappointed trying to compare anything else in Florida to it. It's really pretty unique. I don't get the comparison at all to Hollywood Beach. It's kind of "senior" and quiet.

Hollywood Beach is very different from Key West.

There is no comparison to Key West that I can think of. We go to Amelia Island a lot in the Winter (actually going there & Key West in November) & the town itself is easily walkable & not too far from the Jax airport. There are some good restaurants but not a lot to do otherwise + it can be chilly that time of year. I'd still rent a car though, just to have easy access to the beach, Fort Clinch, etc.

I would have to say the closest would be St. Augustine. Lots of Inns, bars, and restaurants. Entirely walkable and plenty to see. Not as funky as Key West but also not as expensive. Its not on the beach but then again Key West has no real beaches either.
