Fun restaurant in Chicago

I'm going to be in Chicago in a couple weeks with 4 other girls. We range in age from 24-50! We love to have fun and I was wondering what a great dining experience in Chicago would be.
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!!

what kind of food do you like? What is your price range?

If you like wine and cheese, we liked Bin 36 at Marina City area....next to House of Blues.

Billy Goat is still a kick. No pun intended.

My suggetions would be Cafe-Ba-Ba-Reeba
www.cafebabareeba.com or Cafe Iberico for Spanish Tapas. You can find many more ideas at www.metromix.com

Have a great time!

We like any food, except steak. We all really like sushi. I guess the restuarant would have to have fabulous drinks, too. No price limit. We only get together once a year to go shopping in Chicago so we let loose.

I love Adobo Grill (especially the one on Division Ave), Mas (also on Division) is very good as well, and has very good drinks. I also second the recommendation for Cafe Iberico, but the waits can be quite long.

Heaven on Seven on Rush has a Cajun theme and good hurricanes.

I second Adobo Grill! I took an out of town friend last week and we had a great time. The food, service, drinks were all amazing!

It depends on what do you mean as fun: The food or the atmosphere? Food - Fondue (Gejas on Armitage Street), Sushi- (Samba Sushi is a Brazilian/Japanese fusion sushi bar}. People watch and to be watched and good food - Gibson's on Rush, Those are the three that first come to my mind. You'll get a great deal of ideas here! Have fun!

I really would not recommend Heaven on Seven. Not only do I find the food to be mediocre, but that theme-park Mardi Gras atmosphere is cheesy and grating.

If you want something trendy, some of the hotter restaurants right now are Bella Lounge (on 1212 N. State), Landmark (in Lincoln Park on Halsted, north of North Avenue), Carnivale (on Fulton & Halsted), and Japonais (Chicago & Larrabee). You will probably have to cab to Landmark, Carnivale and Japonais(not long cab rides at all).

If you want "fun" in terms of food, there's Alinea, Moto and Avenues, which merges science and cooking by reconcepting how and what we eat as food. I promise you've never had a meal like it!

I highly suggest that you check out www.chowhound.com for more recommendations. Check out www.metromix.com for more information on these restaurants, but I seriously take the "reader reviews" of Metromix with a huge grain of salt, so I would not make a decision on a restaurant based upon those alone.

I really agree about the reviews on metromix. These are not, IMHO, often accurate.
