Will travel in NH.................

Hello everyone!I'll be traveling in NH with a small RV and I'd very much appreciate your
input concerning small interesting town in which make a home base and from there visit the different points of interest.
Know of any good CG?Many thanks, parigi.

What is CG?

You can overnight in your RV in WalMart Parking lots.

Although we camp, we live in NH and haven't camped at a NH campground in recent years. There's some wonderful places to visit in southern NH but I'm partial to north of Concord. My favorite small town is Sandwich NH, northwest of Lake Winnipesaukee. You would be away from the busy lake traffic and close to the mountains. There are several campgrounds in the Tamworth/Ossipee area. Do you have a particular interest or hobby? Hikers might prefer a campground in the White Mountains but a history fan might like to be closer to Concord, Canterbury Shaker Village or Portsmouth's Strawbery Banke.

I recommend Danforth Bay Camping in Freedom NH. About 25 minutes from Conway NH. It's also only 25 minutes from Fryeburg ME. Nice lake. Access to Ossippee. Lots of stuff to do or not. They have a website. I've also heard good things about Conway Lake Campground in Conway. Glen - Ellis Campground in Glen NH is another great place to have as a home base. However, it's frequently booked for the season a year in advance. Have a great time. We love camping in the White Mountains.
