Fun near Morehead, KY
 
8 of us will be in Morehead KY for a week on a Habitat trip. We have 1 full day and most evenings off. Any recommendations for free-time activities within an hour or so of Morehead? Our ages range from 19-63.

I know of little to do in this area but you a re probably only an hour or so from Lexington. If the horses are running certainly visit Keeneland.

There is nothing to do in Eastern KY...Morehead will be a little better since there;s a small college there. There are some nice state parks in that area, but that's about it.

The Lexington area will be your best bet

Go to Lexington to the Kentucky Horse Park. There is a new exhibit there --"All the Queen's Horses" that is wonderful. Try Labrott & Graham distillery outside Frankfort. Lots of fun things in Lexington!
