Ft Lauderdale in Feb

My husband and I will be staying in Dania for four days in Feb. Looking for day trips within 100 miles or so. We like off-the-beaten track good food, wandering around city and historic areas, and just sitting and enjoying the scenery. Thanks for your help.

naples is nice, about 1 hour and a half... Dania itself is a nice little town too, there's a quiet beach park called John U lloyd that you may enjoy and there's great dining in the Hollywood Strip (about 6 minutes from dania).
Have fun!

Thanks, FamousDave. I haven't been to Naples (is that on the west coast?). What are the must-sees there?

Anyone else?

Morikami Japanese Gardens and Museum in Boca Raton. Series of little gardens along very tranquil paths, small museum.

If you're in Dania you won't want to miss Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlour, which is in that town. It's as if time stood still in 1946 (except for the prices!). Old fashioned, free popcorn at every table, pinstriped old fashioned piano player, and always a line to get in. It has made Food TV Network's list of best ice cream parlours in the nation. While they also have sandwiches, people really go there for the ice cream.
