Ft. Lauderdale Beaches

I heard that there is a beach in Ft. Lauderdale that has a place nearby that is good for rollerblading. What beach is this? Does this beach also have watersports available nearby (parasailing, etc.)?

Thanks!

I know you can rollerblade on Hollywood Beach's boardwalk. Not sure if there is a designated area on Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

I think when I was there last year I saw a sign that permitted it at certain hours. (If my memory serves me correct.) There is a cement large type of walkway that runs beginning at the Sheraton Hotel. It would seem perfect for rollerblading. Anyone who lives there would have more knowledge.

I believe I've seen people rollerblading along the winding walkway on Ft Laud beach, but there is no "designated" rollerblading area. It's about a 20 minute drive to Hollywood Beach where there are loads of people rollerblading, bicycling and walking on a large walkway that used to be a narrow road adjacent to the beach years ago. It's cheaper to stay in Hollywood Beach and it's more a family type atmosphere. I live halfway between Ft Laud Beach and Hollywood Beach and prefer to stroll along Hollywood Beach.
