The Harbor Beach Marriott is a large, oceanfront hotel a bit south of the main beach area (restaurants and such). It attacts a large convention business and hosts many large business and charity breakfasts, lunches and dinners. A very corporate feel.
Unless you really want beachfront, I would suggest the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Boulevard. Much more going on, and a more sophisticated setting. Probably less expensive, too.

Check out the web site for Lago Mar which is my favorite hotel in Florida. It's just down the beach from the Marriott. Very nice, much smaller but with great pools, beach and restaurants. www.lagomar.com

Hi Glen, I stayed at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort from September
8-15th. We had Room# 1465.It was an
Ocean/Pool View rm.It was wonderful.
Nice pool and ocean views! The service, staff, and food were great!
The room was nice size and clean.
The pool is big and the beach even
bigger.It did have "Business" like
air to it but it was also a great place to kick back for some R & R.
I really enjoyed my vacation at the
Marriott Harbor Beach Resort.
P.S. I was the only one in t-shirt and shorts.Oh well,I still had fun!!

I just returned from a weekend there and enjoyed it very much. But then a low $69 rate (plus a $9.74 per day "resort fee") made it even better. Extremely nice hotel, pleasant staff, excellent beach location, lovely pool and hot tubs, great beach activities.

I concur with Linda! Largo Mar is the place. My wife & I stayed their this year on the way down to the keys. They treat you like family & the staff is super! We got a one bedroom super deluxe suite for $175/nite. It was huge & right on the beach! Their beach is private & has a beautiful view of the ocean. The only thing about dinning in their facility at night is that a lot of their guests wear a coat and/or tie for dinner. They just like to dress up, which is no problem with us. You only need a collar shirt tho. Las Olas Boulevard has some great dinning too!
