Frosty Drink in Williamsburg

We are going to Colonial Williamsbrug/Busch Gardens for our 1st anniversary. Does anyone know of a good place to get a good frozen drink, perhaps at an outdoor bar? We are staying at the Governor's Inn and will have a car. Thanks,
Heidi

Williamsburg is not really an "outdoor bar" kind of place. That being said, there are a few restaurants in Merchants Square that sell alcohol and have outdoor seating. I'm not sure if frozen drinks are on the menu, however.

Enjoy!

I think Gekko has characterized things accurately.

Most of the popular places on Merchant Square (Trellis, Blue Talon Bistro, Berret's, and Fat Canary) have full service bars and can probably crank out a frozen drink. But none of them are known for it.

If you enjoy martini's, A. Carroll's (a block or so off of Merchant Sq) has a long and yummy list. Food is good too.

Happy anniversary!

A fun outdoor bar that most don't think of is the Marina at Kingsmill.
A friend of mine has discovered a new favorite frozen drink. A frozen Margarita with a shot of Chamboard on top. She also said the Marina has a great frozen coconut drink but she can't remember the name.

Barrett's outdoor bar, the taphouse, has great frozen drinks! For $10 you get a big mug that you can keep, just go after all the kids have been put to bed and it'll be a nice low-key local adult kinda scene.

Birdie, the shot on top is called a "floater." In Key West, a rum floater is common with frozen pina coladas.

The Trellis (located in Merchant's Square) does have outdoor seating and makes a great planter's punch! It is also a fantastic restaurant for lunch, dinner, or desert. Their "Death By Chocolate" desert is world famous.

Thanks for all of the input!! Our hotel is within walking distance to Merchants Square so I think we'll check out both the Trellis and Berrets!!!

Thanks again,
Heidi

Gekko: You can tell I am a lightweight when it comes to drinking. Just give me my glass of shiraz. No floaters needed!
