Dear "S" My husband and I decided to drive in to the city and park the car in a garage. We figured cost and closeness of the parking garage would out way the hassle of transfering ourself and luggage in from NJ. Plus I've seen on weather.com that there will be rain while we're in NYC : ( That wont stop us though! Thanks again for all the great help.

Becky - a wise decision. The garage where you will be parking the car is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. After dropping off the luggage drive the one block to W.76th, make a right and the garage is in the middle of the block. I believe it is called the Beacon Garage. Incidentally, a right turn when the light is red is not allowed in966 NYC. If driving in on I80 follow the instructions sent in a previous note. Don't place that much stock in advance weather reports . They have been calling for showers for the past two days -it hasn't rained yet.

An addendum to rqf and nyer's wonderful directions: the signs on the George Washington Bridge may say "Henry Hudson Parkway" instead of the West Side Highway (same road). And remember you're going south.

I think Patty is correxct in saying the sign reads Henry Hudson Parkway. At any rate whether the sign reads West Side Highway or Henry Hudson Parkway they go to the same place heading southbound
