From Boston to R.I.
I'd like to know how the drive is from the greater Boston area (actually, Framingham) to the TF Green airport in R.I. Travel time will be Friday just after 5pm. Thank You!

I don't think traffic is that bad, if you take I-495 instead of I-95. Before getting into RI, take I-295 around Providence. Rte 37 (Exit 3 on I-295) will bring you back to I-95 and T.F. Green. There are signs for that.
In fact, if the Turnpike heading west was flowing fine, you can take it out to near Worcester and then take Hwy 146 down to RI. There are a couple of traffic lights on the way, but you'll not see heavy traffic in that direction at all.
Even if you take the longest route, it's under 70 miles. 90 minutes should do it, even at 5pm on Friday.
Just avoid Rte 128/I-95 between Newton and Norwood. And avoid I-95 through Providence.

If you have the option of leaving a couple hours earlier, you can avoid the traffic (and any potential major backups) and make it in about an hour. You could always have dinner near the airport first, if this works for you.
