Thank you for making me take some time out of my day to remember how lucky I am.

1. Wren's Day in Dingle, Ireland - Met a great family that "adopted" us, found us costumes from their own closets to dress up in and introduced us to this wonderful town and their amazing holiday.

2. After a particularly brutal night train from Florence to Salzburg I woke up when the trained stopped in the pre dawn. Outside my window I looked out to see that wonderful time of the morning before the sun has really risen and everything is that amazing shade of blue. Rising up so high next to the train that I could not see the top, I caught my first glimpse of the bavarian Alps.

3. On the landing approach to London Heathrow, my first time to Europe, listening to the old English couple behind me talk softly and realizing that the trip I had dreamed about since I was a teenager was about to begin.

Honarable Mention #4 - Driving through the Black Hills and pulling into Mount Rushmore - our first visit - September 12, 2002. After feeling so isolated during the events of September 11 on our road trip we found Mount Rushmore to be an amazing, emotional location. When you first walk in they have a serious of granite colums commemorating all of the United States and the day they bacame so. Next to New York there were flowers and flags and gifts. I will never forget that moment.
