FRIED CHICKEN CHARLESTON & SAVANNAH

ANOTHER QUESTION: ANYONE KNOW WHO HAS BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN SAVANNAH AND CHARLESTON? JUST WANT TO SAMPLE SOUTHERN CUISINE.

Patrick Apr 16th, 2005 01:22 PM

I've never had better fried chicken than at Mrs. Wilkes for lunch in Savannah.

Fried chicken falls into four categories.

Good
Great
Wonderful
Spectacular

There is no such thing as THE BEST.
There is also no such thing as BAD fried chicken (well, unless it has literally gone bad).

This is from a true fried chicken expert, who is not even ashamed to admit to eating the Col. Sanders variety, which falls somewhere between good and great.

Patrick is right, but if you want a very good fried chicken in Charleston try Jestine's.

I also agree, Patrick is right ~:>

Chick-Fil-A
Bojangles
Churches
KFC
Popeyes.

For Charleston, Jestine's or Poogan's Porch. At Poogans, I don't think it is on the menu but run as a special only.
