french quarter inn

Has anyone stayed at the French Quarter Inn in the historic district of Charleston? If so, did you stay in their "traditional room" or did you have a junior or business suite? Could you fill me in on the decor and cleanliness of your room and bathroom? What was your view? Thank you.

We stayed at the FQI a year and a half ago. We had a regular room with a king bed. The hotel is in a great location, we could walk everywhere in Charlston. The hotel and room itself were kept very clean. Triple sheeting on the bed, choice of pillows, coffee, ice tea, m & m's and jelly bellies in lobby at all times. Nice bath products. We stayed there for a week and would love to go back again.

sorry forgot to mention the view, we could see the steeple of the oldest church and the city. Also small breakfast delivered to room every morning, bagels, muffins, juice and coffee. Have fun.

I don't kmow about the hotel, but we were there first week of August and the restaurant had just declared it was going out of business and was boarded up. To the extent you were expecting a restaurant on the premises, you may want to check the status.

I'm wondering with the closing of the restaurant if things have gone downhill at all. Any one stayed there very recently?
