FREE SHUTTLE TO CRUISE SHIP DOCK IN MIAMI

We are flying on our own accord to Miami and then shipping out the next day. We need a resonably priced motel/hotel with free shuttle service from the airport and to the dock. Is there such a thing? If anybody knows of one let me know. Thanks.

HI! My husband and I are doing the same thing. Last time we cruised from Miami, we ended up taking a cab, which is not too expensive, since most of the hotels are within 15-20 minutes from the port. I feel that if the hotel is offering free shuttle service, it's really not free, you'll be paying for it in their rates. Many cabs are available, so you won't have a problem. Usually the front desk can make arrangements for you. We are going on a cruise in Oct, and I have a message posted looking for a good place to stay also. The south beach area is really a great place to stay before your cruise, as long as you don't stay on the main strip where there's too much noise. One place that seems like a good possibility is Villa Paradisimo. It's inexpensive,($69), low-keyed,(on a side block), close to everything, and it's a small cozy establishment. They have info on the web, and if you email them, or call, they'll give you more info. (the owner called me on the phone because she couldn't get an email through, she was verrry pleasant) We stayed at the Fountain Bleau (can't rememeber the correct spelling!) 2 years ago. It's very pretty, but I recommend trying to find a place with lower rates and closer to the port and south beach. If you need more info on Villa Paradisimo, let me know. Check my message too, maybe we'll get some more suggestions. Have a wonderful time. Mary Ann.

Hi Mary Ann thanks for the reply. I was looking around the web and found 2 places to stay. that include airport shuttle and cruise shuttle. Both are around $60.00 a night. They are both by the airport. Days Inn and traveloge. We will be arriving late, so I don't think we will have much time for sight seeing anyway. But I will look into the place you suggested. I don't know what these places look like but I have phoned and asked for a brochure. Thanks again. Cori

This may be a record! Before this thread was topped by an ad, the previous post was "Mar 10, 98 at 6:57pm "

And do you think there is anything in Miami for $60 a night almost twenty years later, I remember those days fondly.
