Free shows in Vegas?

Can you recommend any good free shows in Vegas?

His a link to attractions in Las Vegas by hotel. Some are free and some aren't.

My favorite free attractions are the Belliago Fountains, Conservatory at the Belliago, Volcano at Mirage, Sirens of TI, The Freemont Street Experience Downtown, Fountain Show and Aquarium at Caesars

I saw a very enjoyable free show in Saint Mark's Square at the Venetian last spring. It was a group of singers and musicians in Renaissance costumes performing light opera and Italian songs. They had great voices, and were very entertaining. According to the Venetian's website, they have several different shows throughout the day from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm. It says that they also have something called the Gondolier March daily at 9:45 am and 4:15 pm, but I don't know what that is.

The giant aquarium at Caesar's Palace is pretty interesting, especially if you are forunate enough to be there to watch when the divers feed the fish. And, of course, the Bellagio fountains are spectacular. Be sure to go into the lobby of the Bellagio to see the Chihully glass flowers, which are pretty amazing.

Forgot to mention the Masquerade Village show at the Rio and outdoor music/entertainment at Harrahs.

we saw the nightly free outdoor show at pirate's cove, i think it is called. this was many years ago. don't know if they still do it.

I second the show at Rio. I am also a fan of the dueling piano bar at NYNY, although I think there is a cover on some nights. There is another dueling piano at Harrahs. The animatronics shows at The Forum Shops are outstanding....and free. Many free shows pop up where and when you least expect it. The hallway between Paris and Bally's often has live "statues" that are entertaining.

Not to be missed is the very free show of people watching at almost any corner of the strip. My favorite corner for that activity is Flamingo and the Strip after midnight or even better around 2AM.

The performer has changed since I saw it, but I liked the Tropicana Bird Show.

Other than that, LVR listed my favorites.

Treasure Island's swashbuckler battle is easily viewed from the sidewalk (or the parking lot across the street, if it's still open?).

I don't believe it is a swashbuckler battle any longer. This TI free event and the Volcano next door are no longer anything like the shows they were.

The last time we were in LV the Tropicana had a very amusing free show on the gaming floor--singing, dancing, and an arial act.

A couple years ago the bird show at the Tropicana was hosted by a man who obviously loves birds, but when we were there a few months ago the show was conducted by two very noisy and annoying women. They gave us a headache, and we left.

The Tropicana also has a very interesting museum for which free tickets are distibuted when you enter the casino.

The Bellagio Fountain is the best free show in town.

Check out "dueling pianos" at New York, New York. You can look through the windows if you want.

Bally's has a delightful lounge where we've seen some very entertaining acts for the cost of a great martini.

Some low-cost shows are excellent--Mac King at Harrah's and Rick somebody at the Tropicana. However, beware of an afternoon show that bills itself as burlesque. It is painful smut of the lowest order. I'm no prude, but I am offended when an over-the-hill performer insists I laugh at his witless, sexist "jokes." Calling Rodney Dangerfield.
