Free hotel stay using frequent flyer miles?

Hi all,

Is it true that it?s possible to get free hotel nights using frequent flyer miles? I have about 10k miles on both Delta and Continental, and I doubt I will ever earn enough miles on either of these airlines to earn free ticket. Can I somehow get free hotel nights in exchange for the miles? If so, what do I need to do?

Thank you.

Look on the websites for the different frequent flier programs you participate in. If you can't use the miles directly for hotels, many frequent flier programs allow you to transfer your miles to a hotel program (such as Hilton, Starwood, etc.). First, you have to make sure you're signed up as a member of the hotel program so you can get your miles transferred, then follow the directions on the website. Be sure to review the "exchange rate." Sometimes 1 mile does not equal 1 hotel point!

Sorry to tell you this, but 10,000 miles won't get you very much of anything from a hotel. You'll need more miles.

PS: However, it might be enough to get an ungrade.
