Fredericksburg VA
Leaving NYC at 11 AM thinking of stopping at Fredericksburg the first night, and staying at a hotel with indoor pool *that's all grandkids 7 and 19 care about. Any tips?
Thank you Margie |
You might want to google hotels Fredericksburg,va. There are several in Falmouth off I-95 on Route 17 across the river from Fredericksburg, and others at the southern end of the city.

We have stayed several times at Comfort Inn, Frdericksburg on drives Boston-Savannah. Listing states it has indoor pool, although I have never even looked at it since we just sleep there and then head out in AM.
If you are just looking for a place to stay for the night, this would work. It is about 1/2 mile off I95, always been clean, staff polite and efficient. Standard continental breakfast included in AM. Certainly not a resort, but might suit your purpose as well. |
While you are there take the grandkids to Carl's for frozen custard! The desk will be able to direct you.

Cant help on the hotel - but definitely Carl's. Sammy T's on Caroline Street has good food. There might be some lodgings with indoor pool in the Central Park areaof Spotsylvania County on Rt. 3 just outside the city limits and off of I-95.
