Rant: I'm so sick of the rain!! and it's pouring right now.
Rant: Crazy weather throughout the world! 66 this morning, 20 by tonite Rave: A three day weekend!!!!! jor...where are you that it's 24below??!! rave: it's friday, i got paid and i'm off monday. doesn't get any better than that! ((R)) rave: bahamas trip back on. it will work out less expensive than renting a car in santa fe. :-B rave: nice hang out weekend planned with the man. :-> rant: bottle of bleach spilled all over the laundry room the other night. some clothes are damaged, and i've been trying to keep poor kitty from going in there! ((@)) rant: driving home last night i was being pushed from the turning lane almost onto the grass, and a caravan clipped me. just a scratch over the tire. #-o rant: wierdest january weather ever. and i forgot an umbrella. but rave...ran into collegue leaving the subway and was kind enought to share! :D |

RAVE: One week from this minute DH and I will be on a plane to Vegas! RANT: We'll be leaving our little one at home (with Grandma) for the first time....guess it's kind of a rave, too! |

RAVE: It's Friday, and I leave for my Florida vacation a week from tomorrow, for nine nights!!! And only about a month until we make a trip to New England......... YAY!!!!!!!
RAVE: "Summer" in Raleigh is over!!! What a strange weather month so far...... It will be in the thirties by tonight, and then very cold for awhile! YES! RAVE: UNC Tar Heels basketball this year! Watch out, Roy's boys are ready to take it all this year......... :-d RAVE: The four pounds I gained during the holiday eating break are OFF, proving I CAN splurge, then get back on the wagon! Now for the NEXT 34 pounds........ :-) (For those who have asked me how I'm doing it, and asked for tips here, I will simply say, eat about half of what you have been eating or for me it's about 1500-1600 calories a day, and exercise at least five days per week, REALLY exercise... water aerobics, long brisk walks, light weight lifting, biking........ I exercise a good hour and a half at least five days a week. Now, having said that, by the time I figure in vacations, weekends in the mountains, holidays, I would say I've only dieted 3/4 of the last almost-seven months. And, yes, I know I'm boring *some* of you to tears BUT a few have asked! ;;) ) RAVE: After-Christmas sales....... the best time to get your formerly-expensive basics! RANT: The continuing misery that the Tsunami has caused, and the plight of many Californians due to their freaky weather. RAVE: Jasper is fine, even with a side-swiped car! WHEW.......... And sorry for your bleach incident, Jasper. That can cause a lot of expensive damage! Have a great weekend, everybody in Fodorville! |

Rave--Apparently our moving all over the US and traveling overseas has helped our son. He won the school National Geography Bee this week!

bonnie - the thing that I really admire is that you've taken a sensible approach instead of the latest fad diet - you'll definitely get to your goal more importantly you will get tremendous helth benfits. Keep it up!!!

anyway jasper, I live in northern Minnesota. The high this afternoon will be a whopping -14 with a -35 wind chill. Were're use to it and I still like winter. Need more snow. |
Rave: New hard drive and programs installed on my computer. It's like having a new toy! :)
Rant: Not all of my peripherals are installing properly. Gotta work on that this weekend. :( Rave: Lots of wonderful rain here. Cloudy days are always a nice change from the constant sunshine and our papaya trees are very happy. =D> Rave: Step-daughter has finally gotten with the times and is online. Enjoy chatting with her about boys and stuff on IM now. :-P Rave: It's the weekend, DH is working, and I have a ton of free time to work on those computer bugs and do anyhing else I please. [-o< Rave: Traveling to St. Martin on Tuesday for some shopping, errands and a bit of R&R. Gonna buy a scooter while we are there, too! :-D Rant: As someone else said, "Mother Nature's Wrath" and all those who have suffered it. :-[ Rave/Rant: What our troops are doing overseas, but the fact they aren't all home safe and sound yet. Rave: Joined the gym for my New Year's Resolution. Been going for 3 weeks now - 3x per week - slowly building up the workout. So far so good!
Rave: Patriots Post Season - time to beat Indianapolis - again! Rave - Been watching the Red Sox/Yankees series on dvd - its so much fun. Rave - booked 2 nights at the Wentworth by the Sea for Feb vacation - got a great rate. Rave - I know I am so fortunate in comparison to so many others in the world. Rant - my m-i-l wants to give up in her fight against cancer if this latest round of chemo doesn't show improvement. She is a wonderful person and doesn't deserve this (not that anyone does)! |
Rant: been a month I'm housebound but more depressed about my dog to have surgery next week, To hear all my fodorites whose loved ones have worse problems, the grey rainy day it is with possible snow predicted.

Rant: DH is going to Hawaii next week for a conference, without me. Rave: I'm taking the kids to my grandparents' house in KS while he's gone. Rave: I'm planning a girls' trip to San Diego in March. Rant: the Chargers. Rant: with all the bizarre and tragic weather events going on lately, I'm nervous about the upcoming tornado season here in OK. |
