It is really weird weather- all that accumulation from the blizzard like conditions this morning is gone already.
It's 44 degrees near Chicago.

Cold is supposed to be on its way- I've got enough firewood left for February at least.

swalter, don't do like my mensa daughter did when she got sick of waiting- she went and hung some drywall. He was there that night, but her mother almost killed her.

Rave: Only 50 days until we cruise.

Rave: Got a refund of $240 per cabin from RCCL.

Rant: No fun planning a getaway when it is 45 degrees in early Feb.

RAVE: Lost three lbs. last week, have exercised four of five days this week so far ... (Congrats to ALL who are losing *anything!*)

RANT: Went to NC State/Virginia ball game Wednesday night, had the MOST-buttered popcorn in the history of the world, and a hot dog, and I don't remember what after that!!! So I'm sure the three lb. loss has been altered!

RAVE: Carolina Hurricanes! Keep up the good work, guys! The Canadians are coming out to watch them PRACTICE when they visit there ... (And they thought Carolina would be in the lowest part of the basement this year! )

RAVE: Baking Martha Stewart's mother's meat loaf for dinner. In the oven! It is so yummy .... and what the hey, we're having mac & cheese, cole slaw and lima beans with it! (If you're going to have a meat loaf dinner, you gotta have a real meat loaf dinner! )

RANT: Those having to deal with sickness and not-so-fun times; my heart is with you all!

RAVE: My new Kathy Van Zeeland purse .... silver with all the charms, etc. So gaudy, I know ...... but what fun for an old lady like me! Any of you other girls have one???

Happy weekend, all!!! Go Steelers!

Thanks for the well wishes all-I think I've tried every "home" remedy to induce from food to ...well, you know ! The only thing I haven't tried is eggplant and guess what we're having for dinner! Hopefully by next Friday it will just be one big RAVE!

Scarlett, Scarlett, Scarlett are you and Kim running in the same circles now-a-days, lol? Why send it back? Isn't there anyone you know who could use it?

Bonnie, can I come to YOUR house for dinner, pretty please!

Sounds like you have a fun bag! Not the label you mentioned, but my husband gave me a great "interviewing" bag for Christmas with silver charms on it. Of course I had to remove the charms to use it on job interviews, but I think the look is fun.

Ohhhh swalter, you DO know the secret!!! Well, I hope your little one decides to come soon.

My babies were both late, first by a week , second by 2 weeks.
Take a long ride in the car on a bumpy road lol.
I kinda hate it that doctors give us an actual due date, it sets us up for expectations that are rarely fulfilled..
Good luck, and remember, no one really stays pregnant forever lol..

LOL seetheworld, noooo, I stay out of that circle

These are cheap little give aways, Nanos have problems with the screens scratching very easily-the Yankee said mine is better anyway- so we are indeed, giving it away rather than sending it back ~

If you know when was the first time you felt the baby moving, count 20 weeks - this is your due date if it's the first preganacy, or 18 weeks - if 2nd or more.

RAVE - one month till Israel, gotta start packing

Rave: Almost-18yo dd's enjoying college classes and her youth orchestra.

Rave: 21yo dd is doing well and enjoying life again after some emotional challenges last year.

Rave: 10yo ds and I enjoyed our home school group field trip to the brand-new Unser Racing Museum today. I'm not a racing fan, but this place was pretty interesting.

Rave: We might actually get to go on a trip somewhere this year!

Meet my purse, ladies!

http://www.zappos.com/n/p?dp=8313221

The only thing missing is that the big silver & rhinestone charms aren't showing in this picture!

Seetheworld, you are more than welcome to dinner! OMG, that meat loaf is a winner, and I made homemade cole slaw, buttery lima beans ......... add the mac & cheese, and HELLO, three pounds! But it was delicious ... worth it!

Girls, let me know if that purse is too happening for a sixty-one year old!

Sorry to hear about your dad, wagonwheel2. That is so stressful to go through once let alone three times. (Actually I wondered what was with all the empty beds when my own Dad was in the hospital in December.) Does he live in Canada? If so, he probably doesn't have much choice in the matter, mikemo.

Did the groundhog see its shadow?

Rave: Happy Superbowl Sunday all of you sport fans! Enjoy your day.

Rave: And for nonsport people it is a great day to shop, the stores are usually very quiet.

A late Happy Ground Hog Day jorr!! Hope all is going well in your life.

Rave: Scarlett, it is true about late babies..no wonder my daughter is so fantastic, LOL.

Rant: All the bugs/virsus that so many people are sick with this winter. Hope everyone gets well soon.

Rave: A bulletin on our local newspaper website just stated our president approved our Solano County a disaster area due to the NY's floods. So there will be some Federal funds that will be some help to those that had bad flood damage, 900 residences, total in my city. I am truly amazed this was approved, miracles do happen.

Best wishes swalter, your little bundle of joy should be arriving shortly. I know the wait is tiremsome though. Best wishes to all of you.

And Caph, best wishes to you and your dear husband when he has his next test on the 14th. My prayers are with all of you also. May you receive nothing but good news.

Happy weekend everyone!

Rave: I am flying east coast to LA on Sunday at 5:40 pm. Big plane and it is empty, so I immediately got upgraded from coach to business. Why?

You guessed it, everyone else will be watching the Steeelers win the Superbowl. It's a GREAT time to fly!
