Hi Starrsville!
Lol, let's just say that the Salty Dawg in Homer might not ever be the same.

Think three women drinking beer. One, being foam-o-phobic(moi), with the other two, who have charming South Africa accents and armloads of gold bracelets and one is wearing 2 carat diammond earrings..(amazing we weren't followed and tickled)..

We had a borrowed motorhome from my neighbor, which we parked on the spit while we played the first night. Again I was reminded why having a bladder the size of an almond is no laughing matter when you aren't used to drinking out of a pitcher!

I'm sorry, I got carried away. I'll do a separate post to annoy you, lol.
Where is Fain-a roni today? J.

seetheworld Jul 7th, 2006 11:55 AM

Jetset!! Have you been naughty?? ;)

Listen, sometimes I don't understand half the things you write, but when I do, I Laugh Out Loud!!! :D That's always a good thing. Although my family thinks it's a little creepy that I sit at my computer and just laugh for no apparent reason. :)

travel_addict Jul 7th, 2006 11:58 AM

Nice post earlier, Starrsville. This site is way more than just another travel site. That's what I like about it.

The editors need to quit banning people!

jetset1 Jul 7th, 2006 12:05 PM

seetheworld.. um, I don't know if naughty is the right word, but maybe I should behave for a day or so.

I came back to find that the beer garden had vanished, cleaned out by slugs of the Ron, Dan and Bernie species!! Far from stopping them, my dh provided more, mostly imports judging from my glass recycling bins in the garage.

There was such a strong odor of Pine Sol that I thought CSI Alaska had filmed an episode here.

Lingerie drawer still secure, nothing missing.

**I must reach Matsy. He failed to send the chocolate I will require. He needs to understand that I frequently suffer from PMS:
Post Marital Syndrome

and I drive around laughing all the time. I am forever grateful that the 1981 brain cells committed hari kari:S-

p.s. You know, I volunteered to be your token "whipping girl" since *** and muffin left. Bring it on. If it doesn't kill me, then I'll drink more wine:)

A woman has twins, gives them up for adoption. One goes to an Egyptian family and is named “Ahmal.” The other is sent to a Spanish family and is name “Juan.” Years later, Juan sends his birth mother a picture of himself. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. He replies, “They’re identical twins for Pete sake!! If you’ve seen Juan, you’ve seen Ahmal!!”

Happy Friday everyone

STW: BE VERY AFRAID of the "Fear of Mom"

P_M: Love that SW Rapid Reward!
And Aloha to you...

Starsville: Ditto your depression post. There is help out there...

Laurenzo: Exercise: lift your wineglass from frozen shoulder to mouth, repeat... repeat...

Rave: Official vacation countdown has begun. Will post requests for Cleveland restaurants in separate post.

SuperRave: Work friend with positive breast biopsy will need lumpectomy and radiation rather than mastectomy and chemotherapy. Prayers are answered!

LoveItaly Jul 7th, 2006 02:28 PM

Hello Laurenzo, may I suggest that if you have not had a blood test for a B-12 deficiancy that you have your doctor do this. Back in 1995 I too had a frozen shoulder and terrible pain. I even had a MRI for bone cancer. The bottom line was that I had a B-12 deficiency. Consequently I have to get a monthly B-12 injection for the rest of my life. But compared to so many health problems that is nothing. So if this test has not been taken I would encourage you to talk to your doctor. Best regards.

Rave: Family, and friends including all my dear friends here on Fodor's that are always so supportive and loving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! You know who you are.

Rant: People that live their lives without good morals. They think they are happy and "King/Queen of the Hill" but actually they are rather pathetic.

Rave: My family members who are spending three weeks in Tuscany and are enjoying every moment including a birthday celebration and watching the Soccer games with the Italian residents.

Rave: The over hour long phone call I had from a dear friend in Milan last evening. He is only 35 years old and has managed to buy a little house in Milan. Not easy to do with the cost of housing there, but he has saved every penny (well actually lira and then Euro) he could for the last ten years. I am so proud and happy for him.

Rave: My 20 year old grandson who was just promoted to the position he has desired with the company he started out with as a clerk. He is grinning from ear to ear as am I. They will work around his college schedule come the end of August.

Rant: The Devil Wears Prada is not playing at our 16 screen theater. How dissapointing.

Rave: People in my life that are on various trips that take the time to email me and catch me up on their vacations. Very special!

Wishing all of you a beautiful weekend.

And wishing anyone with heartbreak, health problems and or dissapointments best wishes and prayers that soon all will be well in your life.

laurenzo Jul 7th, 2006 02:44 PM

thanks loveitaly. I didn't have any blood tests, just an MRI which showed mild AC disease..ie. deterioration/arthritis. I am too young for this!! I will ask my MD about B12 deficiency when I return. Thanks for your concern and information :)

jetset1 Jul 7th, 2006 02:45 PM

Very sweet post LoveItaly((L)).

I am taking my cousins to see The Devil Wears Prada tomorrow. I hope it's good. I love Meryl Streep! J.

Take care and have a terrific weekend, J.

seetheworld Jul 7th, 2006 02:48 PM

Hi LoveItaly! You have been "found", lol. Congratulations to your grandson, you must be so proud!!

jetset1 Jul 7th, 2006 02:55 PM

seetheworld~ how are you? Did you have a good week? I hope your health is good. I am increasingly forgetful, probably early dementia starting in.
I should be weeding but I am lazy due to rain. My boys watered the garden while I was away, but weeding isn't a macho activity, so lucky me. It is like a mini Jack-in-the-beanstalk out there!
At least my tall leprechaun had washed and vacuumed my car. J.

Ohhhhhh, lol --- is that what that little guy is doing? Kissing? I always thought he just drank some bad orange juice or one of those sour apple pucker martinis, lol.

Hi dear STW, I see you are leaving on your trip next Tuesday, I truly wish you a beautiful time. And thank you about my grandson. Now if his younger brother just gets his act together we will all take a big breath of thankfulness. Best wishes to you..enjoy your vacation!!

LoveItaly Jul 7th, 2006 04:10 PM

Hi Laurenzo, please do! I was checked for everything from Lyme disease to bone cancer to who knows what. My doctor who was fantastic did some research and that is when he ordered the B-12 test and lo and behold that was my problem. BTW, a B-12 deficiency is normally found in populations that do not eat properly. Those that have malnutrion. Meat and eggs for example give us B-12. But if your body suddenly does not absorb the B-12 you eventually will have the deficiency. And consequently taking B-12 tablets will not help anymore then the foods that contain B-12 will. At that point you must have a monthly injection. If you have this problem and it is not diagnosed you can end up with a life threatening anemia problem. So do have this checked out. Best wishes to you.

Hi jetset, always enjoy your fun post, lol!!

starrsville Jul 7th, 2006 04:12 PM

Another friend has the B12 deficency thing and has to take shots. It does some strange things to your body, that's for sure.

FainaAgain Jul 7th, 2006 05:14 PM

And just when I thought it can NOT get any freakier... having a split personality!

starrsville Jul 7th, 2006 05:16 PM

FainaAgain is here again! I don't know how or why, but I am sure glad! :-)
