OWJ--I guess that's possible. But, they were at camp and had been there since Friday. He wasn't doing anything strenuous but I was there until Sunday and he said Sun. morning that he felt like sh$%t. When he actually says it I know he's not doing well...Maybe it's my mother who does it to him. :) Anyone experience any gallbladder attacks? Are they similar? Yesterday he was still complaining of being sick to his stomach....Also, he has a couple of kidney stones that haven't passed for a few months. I wonder if they're doing some damage?

I found out I had gallstones 3yrs ago but never had chest pain. My pain was more in the diaphragm--it *really* hurt in that space between my ribs, below my breastbone. It radiated around my back, kind of following where the band of a bra goes. It was a very, very sharp pain that came on suddenly. An ultrasound showed the stones and had laprascopic surgery--no more symptoms since! Good luck to your dad!

Thanks OWJ. He said he never had any sharp pain, just discomfort. He said he seriously thought he was having a heart attack when it happened (although he never told anyone that). Why is that some men can be so stubborn?

worktowander - Lyme disease sounds dreadful. I think of that whenever I walk through the woods. Hate spraying that deet on me. Chiggers are a big pest here in Austin. Had 22 bites up and down my back a few weeks ago from the darn things after a leisurely walk in the greenbelt :'(

amwosu - I hate those scooters! There's a couple kids here who've got them, and they think they own the road, weaving in and out, going much faster than they should. Guess their parents think they're okay just because they've got a helmet on. NOT!

Rave: Had a great vacation in Longboat Key. Beautiful beach, great condo, great meals (especially dinner at Spanish restuarant, Columbia, in St. Armands), lots of time with friends and family who have relocated to FL, lots of relaxtion. Now I need to plan our next trip so I have something to look forward to,

Rant: DH and I really are a pair. He broke his ankle (while coaching little league baeball) and while on vacation, I had a face to face meeting with the sidewalk while rollerblading. No broken bones for me, but a few really bad scrapes and bruises. A trip to the ER and NO more blading or golf til I heal. At least I can still walk my pups! Good thing I was wearing a helmet.

Rant: Had to go back to work.

Rave: The "girls only camping trip" with my mom, one of my sisters, two of my nieces and my daughter last weekend. You should have seen the tent shake from three tiny girls hopping from sleeping bag to sleeping bag.

Rave: Meeting my husband's family at Seeley Lake this weekend.

Rant: My sister's fiance called off their wedding a couple days ago. The wedding was scheduled for three weeks from now. My sister was/is completely shocked and incredibly hurt. I feel so awful for her.

ethel, when I was in my mid 30's I was taken to the ER then hooked up to machines and a drip all night for what was thought to be a heart attack. Get this, The next morning a doctor told me I had Gas not a heart attack. If your dad had a matalic taste in his mouth it might have been an anxiety attack but they can come on within just seconds out of nowhere. Been there.

Faina again banned? Who never has a bad word for anyone? Ridiculous.
