Ok so here we are again and TGIF....

Rave: 75% of my office is out today due to pulling an all nighter last night. So there's 4 of us left here goofing off....

Rave: The weather is supposed to warm up after this week here in NYC! Yay! Temps in the 30s!! 8-)

Rave: I get to sleep in next to my boyfriend this weekend....at least until Super Bowl Sunday!!

Rave: Airline will be on Monday LOL

Rave: Managed to get a $26 a day SUV rental for my trip in April

Rant: It's at the worst airport - Miami

Rant: The flight that I booked 2 weeks ago just dropped by $50.

Rant: Got threatened last night by some woman from Ebay because I didn't get her return in the mail yet. That and 2 people "forgot" to send me their payment....grrr

Rant: Get my AT&T Wireless bill and it's $250 more than it should be...

Rave: Other than that my bills are paid!!

Rave: WooHoo! The airlines just opened up FF seats to Key West for the end of next month!

Rave: I can get my cold freezing self out of South Carolina for free!!

Rave: Cashed in Hyatt Gold Passport points for my accommodations in Key West!!!

Rave: WooHoo this vacation to Key West is FREE!!!

Rave: Frequent flyer miles and Hyatt Gold Passport!!!

Rant: Will miss the Miami Boat Show and the Fodors Naples GTG.

Rant: Why is it that every post entitled "Help!", "Help with Honeymoon", "Honeymoon Questions" "Help with Honeymoon Questions" or something similar is always about Hawaii? Why will they not put Hawaii in the header?

Rant -- it's 2 friggin' degrees here in Chicago!!!
Rave-Vegas in three weeks baby!

Rant: This morning it was 34 below zero and my fax machine didn't work so I had to walk to a copy store to fax it.

Another rant: People who complain about cold weather that's 36 degrees warmer than here!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist!

rave: It warmed up to 15 below 0 this afternoon. I'M NOT KIDDING.

WOW Jor, that is extreme!!! Where do you live?

Rave: we're finally having a Fodorites gathering in Naples, Fla. tomorrow.

Rant: it just started raining and is supposed to rain most of tomorrow. Well at least it's currently 70 degrees (sorry, jor, couldn't resist rubbing it in).

OK Jor, you got me, but where are you so I never go there in January! (Nor would I advise coming here in January!)

I live in Fargo ND. When these temps are shown on national broadcasts some people think they are wind chill temps. They are actual temps. Wind chill is 45 to 50 below.

RANT: There will be no traveling in our near future, except to a wedding in the Bay Area in June...maybe. The last 2 years in March we've been in the UK...I'm sad.

RAVE: I'm due in 11 weeks. and Yes, I will be posting this every week until I have my daughter...woohoo! (ok, so its my first baby, and it took us a LONG time...cut me some slack!).

Rave: Holy icepick Batman! Sorry Jor but thank goodness it isn't that cold her! I'm bitching about 55 degree highs!

55 degree highs??? We're on a streak of about 25 days now of below normal temps...supposedly this is the coldest January NYC has seen sinc 1977. Most of this month has not gotten higher than in the 20's!!

I'm pathetic, I drove 5 houses to pick up my kids from the bus. (It's currently 9 degrees with wind chill -1. Coming your way New York!

Rant: Superbowl hype.

Rave: Curling up in front of the fire with a nice bottle of merlot.

Rant: It is cool and grey here.

Rave: But cool & grey is still 60 in Florida !!

Rant: I miss NYC :)

Rave: Our ailing 15 YO golden retreiver is slowly improving and the vet says it may not be a brain lesion after all but an inner ear lesion. This is good news as the latter is something that can be recovered from. Huge sigh.

Rave: Messages from fodorites expressing good dog thoughts last week. Thanks folks, very uplifting.

Rave: (To make it travel related) Got to take the dog for a car ride today and she didn't puke. She's always loved car trips.

Rant: It's the midwest, below zero and dogs are barking.....What are people thinking??? Nothing should be outside in this!
Rave: Husband BBQing Jerk Chicken by opening the sliding glass doors quickly!

Rave: I live in Canada, and it's warmer than in Fargo ND!!!!!!

Rave: We are having a blizzard in central Alberta today, so we closed at 2 p.m. and went home early to start our weekend in the snow (only 11 below zero ;-) without windchill, with windchill it is a balmy 32 below zero)

Rave: Winter is more than half over :-)) !!!.

Rave: Groundhog Day on Monday - any predictions????

Rave: I really like my job most of the time . . .

Rant: . . . but sometimes the people on my team are such HUGE BABIES

Rave: I'm in major home remodel-mode, can't wait to see the results!

Rave: Survivor All-Stars is on after the SB

Rant/rave: I'm going to work late tonight (tough to work late, but I love getting a lot DONE after everyone leaves)

Rave: There's going to be a big vodka gimlet waiting for me when I get home

Rant: Just saw the projected deficit- How can we have tax cuts??? Isn't this like taking a loan on a maxed out credit card??
