Four Seasons Room Types in Maui

My fiancée and I are planning a Hawaii Honeymoon for 09/05. One of the islands that we are visiting is Maui.

We will be staying at the Four Seasons in Maui for 3 Nights and want to get feed-back on whether its worth getting the Ocean View room as opposed to Mountain Side or Garden.

Any feed-back is appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know, but I'm equally interested in the answer as I am considering that hotel for a 1/06 anniversary trip.

We stayed in a partial ocean view and it was just that, very partial. I know there is a big jump in price for ocean view rooms so I would pay for a garden view room (the rooms are just the same as the ocean view rooms) and spend the money you save on some nice dinners and activities. You will love this hotel!

We stayed there for our honeymoon in late 03. We LOVED the hotel. I believe we had a partial oceanview room and thought it was perfect. We were glad we had not paid extra for the oceanview. Yes, it is only partial, but we were glad we could see both the ocean and the lush gardens. I would also safe you will be fine with a gardenview. The hotel is SO beautiful and the rooms are so luxurious that you will probably not mind the view. Plus you might get upgraded. Go to Sarento's on the Beach for a WONDERFUL sunset dinner

Kapalua Bay Hotel nearby is smaller, less garrish and "nouveau riche", modern in style, fabulous setting, private beach on small cove for great swimming and snorkeling. Check out their web site for views.

Darby,

All those things may be true about the KBH, but don't let K2005 think that it's "nearby" in south Maui, it's an hour away!

I have stayed at the Kapalua Bay Resort and the Four Seasons, and Four Seasons wins hands down! No comparison in my book!

Four Seasons is perfect for your honeymoon. I wouldn't worry about the room tho, we stayed in a garden on the ground floor with a lanai out to the lawn that was fabulous! No one ever was around, and if we walked 10 ft we could see the ocean. Don't do Mountain, they WON'T upgrade from there if it's possible...but from Garden and up they will, if there are rooms available. You will never want to leave this hotel, the cabanas at the pool, being sprayed with Evian water by the attendants, massages at the outdoor huts, room service that brings breakfast exactly the time you ask for it, magnificent lobby..ETC. In a phrase, perfection in a perfect place. Enjoy, Aloha.

We stayed in a Mountain view room last May for our honeymoon and enjoyed it very much. We wanted to stay at the Four Seasons, but couldn't afford the other rooms. The actual rooms are all the same, it's just the view that's different. The bed was heavenly, the bathroom spectacular. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, get the Mountain view. They sent up a bottle of champagne. We spent most of our time either out by the pool or out doing things, so the view didn't matter too much to us.
