four seasons maui or turtle bay?
Hi all,
coming to hawaii for very short trip -- u2 concert. We have 2 days before and can easily get to maui or stay on oahu where we are going to end up for the concert. Which of these two resorts offers privacy, seclusion, comfort, elegance and great service?

The Four Seasons is very nice, as is Turtle Bay. For such a short trip, I don't know that I would want to stay on a different island prior to the concert.
What I would consider is if you plan to stay on Maui prior to the concert, when will you fly into Oahu? The day of?
Since this is a pretty major concert, there may be many people flying into Oahu from the neighbor islands to see it. On a typical day the Kahului airport is a madhouse and security lines are ridiculous. I expect the flights the night before and the morning of the concert into Oahu to be full.
Turtle Bay is up on the North Shore and is pretty quiet and secluded. I would recommend staying there for the 2 days prior to the concert.

Though Turtle Bay may not be as luxurious as the Four Seasons, it is a great isolated hotel in a beautiful area, gorgeous coastal views. Nice local sites (beachtown Haleiwa, Waimea Bay) nearby for such a short stay too. Agreed with above...with only a couple of days I'd stay on the same island and make things a lot easier.
Have fun!
