Four Seasons
 

How is the pool area at th 4s? Is it lively or stuffy? How is the beach in front of the 4s? <BR>Would you consider this resort to be singles oriented? What would you say is the average age of clientle that stays at this resort?

the Four Seasons has about 30 resorts in the US and Canada. Many more in the world. I assume you are asking about one resort in particular, it would be nice to know which one.

The information needed is for Wailea on the big island of Hawaii.

Hi Laura...Are you single and looking for a lively pool? If so, the Four Seasons is NOT where you want to be. The clientele spans a wide age group but is very quiet, little laughter at the pool even with children present. Lots of cell phones in use, etc. The blue beachfront chaise lounges are actually placed between rows of Ohia and low growing shrubs. The real beachfront is in front of the Grand Wailea,a short stroll away. <BR>If you are travelling with a significant other and looking for a quiet (albeit slightly "yuppie") enviroment where you will be sprayed with Evian, poolside, this is your place. <BR> <BR>If you'd like to give me some idea of what you are looking for I'll be glad to share what I know.

Laura: <BR> <BR>The pool area is not lively, nor, however, is it stuffy. It is a relaxing place to sit. The hotel is not singles oriented, although singles do stay there, but the majority of travelers are couples. Average age probably is 40ish. <BR> <BR>Just one correction to what Laurie posted, just above. The Four Seasons' beach is right in front of the hotel. The Grand Wailea is the hotel next door, but each hotel does have its own beach area. Thank you both for your response's. <BR>I will be traveling with my significant other we are very lively & enjoy a good time. We have reservations at the Four Seasons as I am scouting it out for an up coming episode on a television show I work on as well Denise is a producer in films. We want to have a lot of fun! <BR>Where do you both suggest some great places we should go?

Laura, <BR> <BR>Hualalai is on the Big Island of Hawaii, not Maui.I am familiar with both. The ambiance at both is about the same as far as the hotel property goes. The islands, however, are very different. <BR> <BR>I have a personal issue re: the Hawaii property. As there was not a natural beach on the site, the corporation used dynamite to create one. This was done under questionable circumstances and is the source of bitterness by some locals. At times during the year the beach does get washed out by the waves. Depending on the month you are going, it may or may not be a problem. <BR> <BR>Re:activity level...When I last checked the property the entertainer in the bar-on a Friday night-(a wonderful Hawaiian slack key guitarist,song writer,vocalist) was permitted to perform instrumentals only, no vocals, so as not to "disturb" the patrons.
