fort worth hotel near Will Rogers Equestrian Center
 

I need recommendations for a hotel near Will Rogers Equestrian Center, Fort Worth. My daughter and I will be there for AQHA Youth World August 4th-11th.

I live in Fort Worth but hardly notice the hotels as I pass by Will Rogers Center. The cultural district is in the same area so if you see any hotel mention that area it will be close by. It is not a far drive to the downtown or TCU University area if you don't mind a short drive. I'll try to be more observant next time that I pass that area.

There are a few hotels straight south on University Drive - like the last poster mentioned. That would be the closest to Will Rogers (maybe 3 to 5 miles away). There is a Courtyard by Marriott, a Residence Inn and a Fairfield Inn. TCU is a bit futher south. It's a nice area, with very easy access to I-30. There are good restaurants nearby too - Hoffbrau for steaks/chops, Panera for sandwiches, Blue Mesa for southwestern and Ol' South Pancake house for breakfast!

You need to reserve ASAP because this is a VERY big show and lots of hotel rooms are needed!

Any of the places on University Drive near I-30 are good. Be careful staying further west on I-30. A friend stayed at the Green Oaks Inn and had her car broken into in the parking lot!

Don't wait-around the I-30 and University has several hotels-its only 10 min from the Will Rogers Center.

I forgot to mention a very great
Bed and Breakfast only a bit farther, 15 min. drive which is in a older residental area back east. This is actually a very hospitable Azalea Plantation, "Best Kept Scret in the Metroplex" tagged by the Dallas Morning News as it is in a heavily wooded 1 acre with lots of charm and Vitorian decor. The great breakfast is outstanding. This place is within a 4 min. drive to Hwy 121 which feeds onto I-30. You will be to Will Rogers with an University exit. Check:
