Fort Walton Beach Marina Bay Resort
 

Does anyone know if the Marina Bay Resort in Fort Walton Beach is up and running after the hurricane? My son is visiting in March and we wondered what to expect. Thanks

You need to call them and check. Most things in that area are back up to speed, although some properties on Okaloosa Island (right next to Fort Walton) are still recovering. The Marina Bay is pretty much at Okaloosa Island. Definitely check.

It's been awhile since your original post. How did it survive? What type of place is it? We just want a budget place to stay for a night....

We stayed in April at Marina Bay. Good price. Room smelled of smoke & they didn't offer a non-smoking room.
Grounds were fine.

We stayed there in June for a night. Not a bad place for the price. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. We were there when Tropical Storm Arlene was in the area so we didn't do much beaching, but not a bad drive to the beach. For a quick getaway and a cheap price, I'd stay again.
