Fort Myers, FL

I am heading to FT. Myers this weekend (just live in Bradenton) to play tourist. Any must see sights I can go to? (museums, touristy places, etc). Any help you can offer would be great!

If it is tourist things you are looking for try a ride down Alligator Alley and watch the alligators sun themselves. The beaches are beautiful in Ft. Myers. How about going a little further to Naples. This is the most interesting quaint city I have ever visited. A jewel of a place.

Getting back to Ft. Myers, there are tour boat rides and plenty of malls to visit.

You might try the Edison House, the summer homes of Thomas Edison and his neighbor Henry Ford... they are set up as they were many summers ago with an actual workshop and lab used by TE to work on his inventions... it's worth a couple of hours...

I lived in Ft Myers, you might want to take the Causway over to Sanibel/Captiva Islands. It is truly amazing there. Enjoy my old home town.
