Fort Myers Beach

Need to book hotel accommodations for my family of four (mom and dad - kids 15 and 7) in July. What is the nicest hotel on Fort Myers Beach?

Have not been there yet, going this summer, but reviewed all possible locations in this area, read messages on this board, and the best I can determine is that Pink Shell Beach Resort is the best place on Estero Island in Ft. Myers Beach for a family. They are running a 7-night special called the family funscape which includes a 2 bedroom villa. Children's program is included in price which might be good for your 7 year old. They have a website called pinkshell.com. Good luck.

There's a new hotel right on the ocean called the Diamond Head, I believe it's a best western...beach/pool are excellent. Hotel is new and beautiful.

Year before last we stayed at the Best Western Pink Shell and loved it. 3 pools, quiet part of the island, but we rented bikes and it was close enough to bike to shopping, etc. The one thing we did that is an absolute must was rent a boat and go island hopping. First we went along the intercoastal waterway and viewed the gorgeous homes. Then we went to an island accessable only by boat for shell collecting. I've never seen so many shells in my life! Then we got adventurous and drove up to Sanibel for lunch. It was a great time! We loved Fort Myers. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any other questions.

Hallie
