Fort Myers

I (22) am planning on going to Fort Myers the end of May and was wondering what kind of fun things there are to do and good places to shop, beaches, ect... I am going with my mother, 48 yrs.

Edison/Ford home, if you like history. It is incredibly interesting.

For shopping go into Ft. Myers and go to the big Edison Mall and/or Bell Tower shops (upscale shopping). Also close to Sanibel is the Tanger Outlet Mall. I second the suggestion of the Edison/Ford homes tour. Pick up the Ft. Myers News-Press and look for some other places to go. There are several nature walks/preserves that you can check out.

There is also Miromar Outlet in Estero,
just south of Fort Myers on 75 which has
a Chico's store. Collecting shells on
Sanibel is a fun thing to do. Go early
to get the best selection.
There is also the Barbara Mann theater and a couple of other play houses in and around Ft. Myers/Naples. For really high end shopping...go to Naples.

A drive to Everglades City to take an airboat ride is a fun way to spend a day.
