Fort Lauderdale Info needed
 

HI, <BR> Can someone tell me if the airport is far from where the cruise ships dock. I need to know if I have enough time to make a certain flight. <BR>Thanks in advance, <BR>Jane

The airport and docks for Ft. Lauderdale was quite close together. (If you are flying into Miami, or crusing out of Miami, that is a different matter.) You should be able to catch a taxi at the airport and be at the dock w/in 30 minutes (probably even less time than that). Of course, you need to allow time for getting your luggage, etc. Hope this helps.

Port Everglades ( cruise ship terminal ) is quite close to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to travel between them.

Port Everglades is not even 15 mins. from Hollywood-Ft. Laud Airport. It's more like 5 mins. They're right there together.

I said not more than 15 minutes. However 5 minutes is a little optimistic from door to door. In any event, I think that you now realize that they are very close to each other.

Just be SURE that your ship is indeed cruising from Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale and not Miami. I flew to FLL last month to meet a cruise, and a woman on our flight didn't realize until we landed that she had to go to Miami rather than Ft. Lauderdale. I don't know how it turned out for her, but she was pushing it timewise!
