Fort Lauderdale ?

I would be grateful if anyone could advise how much a taxi from Miami Int Airport to Fort Lauderdale would cost.

I have an all inclusive cruise / stay package booked but just in case of any probs at airport or delays would like to include in my budget.

Also anybody know much about the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel in Fort L. ?

I can't answer the cab question but the airport is quite close to the Yankee Clipper and my husband and I found the cabs in Ft. L very cheap so it shouldn't be a budget breaker.

The Yankee Clipper is an old hotel right as A1A turns on the ocean. I haven't stayed but I did have drinks in the bar. Glass windows looking at the bottom of the swimming pool. It provided some laughs. This is the bar featured in the Billy Crystal/DeNiro movie, Analyze This.

The hotel is very close to the Port and the cruise ships. LMF

At either airport you can pick up Tri-County Express right outside baggage claim. No reservations needed. They charged us about $55 for 4 of us a couple of years ago.(plus tip). They provide transportation in Lincoln Towncars. They will drop you off at the airport or at your hotel. They also have a shuttle van for $15 pp. between airports. I have stayed at the Yankee Clipper. It is average at best, but location is good.

FLL airport is quite close to A1A. I am not sure about from Miami but otheres seem to be able to answer that ? for you. As for the Sheraton Yankee Clipper we stayed there 2 nights last year. It is tired, but it is adequate. Great location, as this one sits directly on the beach. It is also right across the street from the water taxi. It is a great deal $5.00 for the day. On and off as often as you like.

it's an 1/2 hr drive from FLL to Miami--
there are shuttle services between the 2 cities--

do a search on google.com and put MIAMI shuttle services and you will come up with a ton...email them and you will get a real answer....

Cab with a meter would be horrendously expensive...

If you will be in Ft Laud the last weekend in Oct/1st weekend in Nov, you will be very close to the International Boat Show. If not, then you will be in a great location at the Yankee Clipper. There are no balconies at this hotel, but who needs a balcony when you have the beach a few steps away???
