There is a fire burning in the Tahoe National Forest. The American River Complex fire. It should not affect plans to visit Lake Tahoe, except for possible haziness or smokiness, depending on which way the wind blows. None of the highways have been closed.

Hi moo, one of my grandson's just called me an hour ago. He was at Lake Tahoe this weekend and got home today. He said the air was "pretty good" except last night (Sunday) it got sort of smokey. He said he had a great time and it wasn't a problem. Hopefully that will be true when you arrive also.
