Foreign Villages in U.S.
I'm looking for towns in the U.S. that are patterned after foreign villages, i.e., Leavenworth, WA, which looks like a German town in the Alps. I'm particularly looking for towns that remind one of Paris or Barcelona, but please send any ideas along. Thanks.

Well...the french quarter in New Orleans looks European with wrought iron balconies, but not particularly like Paris (although I think there was a restaurant there fashioned after the Eiffel Tower).

Helen, Georgia is built to look like a German alpine town. It's up in the North Georgia mountains, which are pretty enough to visit on their own merits. Years ago the town was dying, and it "reinvented" itself. Now it is a thriving tourist town raking in the dough faster than it can count it.

Just thought about Vegas. You can catch the Eiffel Tower, the canals of Venice....

Helen GA is another German-looking town. Tarpon Springs FL is somewhat like Greece. Can't help you with Paris or Barcelona.
