Save your money.

I live on Long Island NY, not far from Manhattan. There is nothing that you can buy to keep your hair straight. I have tried every product known to man kind from celebrity favorites to drugstore finds...nothing works.

EXECPT: Get a professional blow out every other day or so. Even though I have a professional blow dryer, getting a blow out really keeps my hair looking good in the summer. It's not the products, but the technique in which they use to dry the hair (also no damage). I have not been able to duplicate a professional blow out with any tool in the summer.

This even works for me when I go to Florida in the summer. I always book in advance at the hotel's salon. Worth every penny.

I am a much content, relaxed person since I learned to embrace my curls. No more trying to straighten or relax them - and my hair is a lot healthier for it. And if the weather is humid, eh, I just am a bit more curly. It's all good. I will never have the "polished hair" look, but that's alright.

try www.naturallycurly.com - a website devoted to curly hair issues/tips/product sugestions. I echo the previous folks - slather on FrizzEase or any other silicone-based product!

I feel for you - whenever I travel to somewhere humid I always think of that Friend's episode where they went to Caribbean and Monica's hair mushroomed into a big frizzy mess!

That made me laugh--I thought of mentioning Monica's scary hair devolution (and slight personality change), but I actually liked her look in the wigs (or whatever they did)! Apropos the thread title "just for woman"; men never fret about frizzy hair, humid-climate effects on their skin, white shoes/bags after Labor Day, their weight (evidently), how they look in a bathing suit (or anything else), or what total strangers think about them at any particular time--why oh why do we? a question for the ages....

Sylvia...so true.

The humidity is wreaking havoc on my frizzy hair...so instead of wasting my time blow drying it straight, I am finding a hundred different ways of wearing it up! Come fall, I'll blow dry it again. Plus blow drying in the summer is just too darn hot!! I've got to stick my face in the freezer afterwards to cool off - LOL.

When I go on vacation I don't even bother bringing the blow dryer - it's just not worth it. That's 10 extra minutes I could be out sightseeing - plus a couple extra pounds in my luggage!

Ha! I laughed out loud at the Monica of Friends reference. That was so funny! I have never had a problem with frizzy hair where I live, but when I go to Mexico or somewhere humid, I'll go out looking good and when I come hope and look in the mirror I look like Monica. Who cares? I care! And I'm not ashamed of caring. If there is a product out there that may help, I want to know about it. I'll try the frizz ease. Thanks. Breathe

Oops! KYbourbon is right---it IS Infusium 23 that is frizz control. That's about where my memory is at the moment; I've been using it for at least 10 years, and all I could remember was that it was a number in the twenties.

Excuse me, I'll be making those nursing home arrangements now . . .

My daughter uses one every day and her hair is mostly frizz free, even here in the very high humidity of Austin.

However, if you have natural waves or curls, why not go with the flow?
