For same price, is Bright Angel a better GC accommodation than Maswick?

Seeing our luck in finally getting a room from a cancellation at Maswick this busy July, if a room/cabin at BA came up, would it be worth the phone call to change? Just curious.

Absolutely! Maswick is about 1/4 mile from the rim, while BA is just steps from the rim.

Yes!! I loved those little historic cabins.

Yes, anything on the rim is best!

Yes, except some of the rooms in Bright Angel share the bathroom with others. If that was all I could get I would opt for Maswick and walk over to the rim. Bumping into strangers in the middle of the night on the way to the john is not my thing.

thanks. Will keep this in mind

I can only speak of locations: Maswik is away from the rim, a bit quiter, not crowded, but for watching sunset, for "being there" Br.A is the best.

And we found lunch prices at the Br.A restaurant very reasonable, not overpriced. Of course, no view :) But you can get ice-cream later and sit right there on the rim!

If you can get a BA room with a bath it will be much much better--location can't be beat!
