Food at LAX

We're stopping at LAX to change airplanes en route to Honolulu -- AA, Terminal #4. Since AA no longer serves food and only has "food for fee," is there a convenient place to grab some "grub to go" in Terminal #4? We'll have 1 hr & 15 minute layover. ((b))

I am no expert on LAX but frequently layover there en route to visiting my daughter and my advice is: bring a picnic from home. Maybe it's only the Alaska part of LAX but it's dismal for food IMO.

IN the AA terminal there is a full Chili's restaurant where we had a wonderful CA type luncheon salad. Of course, they also had the full reg menu. There were also other places as well, that specialized in take out type salads and sandwiches. My experience there is very different than suehoff, as I have found it to be one of the better stocked airports when it comes to food choices.

I plan to bring food for the Newark/LAX leg, but we won't have time to eat at LAX. A good take-out salad should do the trick. Thanks. ((b))
