Foliage Peak this weekend in Lake Placid, NY
 

Are we too late for the best colors in Lake Placid and the area? We are staying in Lake Placid Saturday and Sunday. Suggestions on any local roads with beautiful leaves, if there are any left, are greatly appreciated.

You'll probably be ok. We were there two weekends ago and the leaves were just starting to turn...mostly still green with a few splashes of orange and red. I'd imagine this weekend will be fantastic! Enjoy!

everytime I see the name "lake placid" I keep thinking of that horror movie with the giant crocodile and betty white....;)
