Fodor's Sticky Note

Does anyone else have a new Fodor's sticky note style icon over the previous black Fodor's icon on the upper left hand side of the screen?

Iregeo Apr 1st, 2005 05:41 AM

Yep!

BeachBoi Apr 1st, 2005 05:46 AM

If you click on it you will be sent back to the homepage

When I saw it I immediately thought of all the people who said they put a real sticky note over the icon when it first came out. :D It was all those who said the black color hurt their eyes.

I guess Fodor's was listening. :)

I think you are right and I think they decided April Fool's was a great day to do it.

Love it!

Little_Man Apr 1st, 2005 07:05 AM

it's irritating.

iceeu2 Apr 1st, 2005 07:14 AM

I'm with frankie...it reminds me of a pop up that gets in my way..

ncgrrl Apr 1st, 2005 07:17 AM

The Post-it is not covering the big, bold Fodor's on my screen. It is covering "Post a new message" I hope I can click post a new message, maybe I'll try in a bit.

Statia Apr 1st, 2005 07:37 AM

ncgrrl, I can still click on "post a new message" with no problem. It's mainly covering the Fodor's logo on my screen. Strange.

mclaurie Apr 1st, 2005 07:42 AM

Maybe it's their April Fools joke. I hate it

It doesn't bother me, but it's definitely a clever April Fools joke...it that is what was intended.

cigalechanta Apr 1st, 2005 07:55 AM

I think the joke is when you click on it it takes you back to that black logo.

ncgrrl Apr 1st, 2005 10:05 AM

First time I was on Netscape and had hte postit over 'post a new message' Now on IE and the postit covers the big, bold Fodor's.

Still prefer the April Fool's joke from years ago where a UK news show reported about a shortage in the spaghetti crop in Italy. Had spaghetti hanging from trees and people, um, picking noodles from trees.

bamakelly Apr 1st, 2005 10:15 AM

I think it's hilarious, especially since the post it note was first introduced by a poster named APRIL!

I remember that too ncgrrl! That was very funny.

There is a local newspaper here who everyday runs this very cheesy thing called "The Sunshine Girl". It is always some scantily clad hoochie-mama with a little bio about her likes and dislikes. Well today on the radio they announced that the girl would be discontinued... little April fools joke.

You shoulda heard the over the top angry men phoning in! Suckers!

mwoysh Apr 1st, 2005 05:42 PM

I was wondering what that note was all about. It looks very unofficial, almost like a fake site.

kybourbon Apr 1st, 2005 06:08 PM

It's very annoying. I usually click on the forum name to refresh but can't because the post it covers it.
