Hi all...

I entered my Alaska photo's in Fodors contest. The contest ended May 15 and the winners were to be posted on this site end of June.

I cant find the posting or notice of the winners....

Has anyone seen it?

We're actually announcing the winners the same time that we announce the start of our next contest which begins August 1st.

Those that did win have been contacted. We received hundreds of submissions during the four week contest.

For our next contest, we hope to display photos as they are entered. I know seeing other people's shots are part of the fun.

Just curious, where was the contest notice posted??

It was the home page, the talk main page, and I posted it an announcement in the Forums. We also sent an announcement in the newsletter.

I did get an email saying that I hadn't won, but they wanted to use my picture. They asked for my permission, but I never heard further from anyone.

I also got a email saying they wanted to use my McKinley picture. They attached forms that I was to send back. Could not get them downloaded. Emailed back and asked if it was possible they could mail them to me. Which they said they could, asked for my mailing address. Have not received nor heard a thing since either.

Yeah, they asked about my Chugach picture and asked for me to fax affidavit back. I signed it and copied it sending it back email instead, and I haven't heard anything either.

Hmm.. Im starting to wonder. I have fabulous pictures of two bears that I continue to enter in contests, yet hear nothing. Im wondering if its my jpeg...

:-( I guess thats what I get for buying my first digital camera the day of my trip and reading the instruction book on the plane.....

Hi Laura--- I'm sure they're great; we just received so many shots of bears. Two of the winners are of bear shots.

Thanks to everyone for being so patient waiting for a list of the winners. The photos will be up on the site on Monday; just in time for our next photo contest.

Am so excited my photo is on the slide show. Have never won a thing in my life. And now I am the web. Knew I won with that picture and am waiting for my prize, but did not know my picture would be on Fodor's for anyone to see. So am very excited.
