Fodors halloween icon?

((m)) Is this an icon of a couple of ghosts? Or what?

Boo!

bonniebroad Oct 30th, 2004 07:56 AM

I've forgotten how to pull up the Fodors icons!!! And lost my printed sheet! :-( HELP!

wanderluster Oct 30th, 2004 07:58 AM

Hi Tandoori Girl, the icon you posted is from MSN Instant Messenger.
Sorry, can't help you with any others; I'm icon challenged LOL.

bonniebroad Oct 30th, 2004 08:12 AM

Okay, guys! No problem - I found the icons in my "favorites." For anyone else wanting to use icons:

cigalechanta Oct 30th, 2004 09:15 AM

The "count"is flying above on the left of fodors, but you can't see his fangs,
he's flying through the O of .com on the main page.

Tandoori_Girl Oct 30th, 2004 10:16 AM

bonnie, I've pasted the smileys page as one of my "favorites". When I want one then I pick that page, copy the icon, then go back to the fodors page and paste it. Works everytime.

Wanderluster, why would anyone want a icon of the MSN instant Messenger? And although that answers my question I still don't know what those figures are.

Sigh. Life can be so confusing.

Marilyn Oct 30th, 2004 11:21 AM

I think it looks like either a mouse or a frog. But if you right click on the icon and then click "properties" you can see what it is "named." Often that gives you a clue. In this case, it is "png" which makes me think these are 2 penguins.

Kal Oct 30th, 2004 11:23 AM

I wish they had a "mother in law" icon. Now THAT'S SCARY!!!!!!
:-O))):-o =-O

razzledazzle Oct 30th, 2004 12:10 PM

Pigeons?

Papua New Guinea ?

TripleSecDelay Oct 30th, 2004 12:18 PM

I'm betting that "png" is "ping", as in "pinging somebody with a message", or "I'll ping you with the answer" - especially applicable with wireless devices. Ping is the onomatopoeia for radio waves. Think submarine movies and the technician is using sonar to locate something underwater.

png is the file format
png = Portable Network Graphics

Meesthare Oct 30th, 2004 12:39 PM

At first I thought - penguins? It looks more like a couple of mice. Or falsies. Or something. But as I look at it, I can sort of see one penguin in front of another one, if you can imagine green penguins. I'm a penguin freak, though (you should see my house and my office - more penguins than Antarctica) and a bit of a purist. There is no such thing as a green penguin. Blue ones, yes, but not green ones.

TripleSecDelay Oct 30th, 2004 12:46 PM

here_today_gone2Maui - that's twice! I need your email so I can pass my responses by you for accuracy verification.

seetheworld Oct 30th, 2004 12:50 PM

They sort of look like pawns in a chess set to me :-?

TripleSecDelay Oct 30th, 2004 12:51 PM

Now that I look at my error pattern, they're both on saturday mornings. Friday night is my night to howl - and we went through a bottle of CaboWabo & some CalinforniaCatnip during last night's poker game. I'm off to the kitchen to brew some KonaSunrise...

bonniebroad Oct 30th, 2004 12:56 PM

TG, they look like two people walking away to me! So they could be ghosts........ Now you have me so intrigued! #-o

Marilyn Oct 30th, 2004 01:00 PM

TripleSec, and that relates to the graphic in what way?

cigalechanta Oct 30th, 2004 01:02 PM

They look like pawns to me and that's what I call them when I have trouble with my msn messinger.

Marilyn Oct 30th, 2004 01:02 PM

Oo, Here Today, you're right. It just says "icon" so that leaves us right back where we started!

wanderluster Oct 31st, 2004 03:32 PM

Thanks for posting the icons, bonnie!

Now can anyone tell me how to type italics? I think this was discussed once before, but I can't find it, sorry.

TIA.

Marilyn Oct 31st, 2004 06:18 PM

OK, I have to put spaces in so you can see what I'm doing, but leave all the spaces out when you actually do it.
< i > type your text, then to end it, < / i >

Same for < b > bold and < u > underline.

I see. Like this

Thank you Teacher

TripleSecDelay Nov 1st, 2004 11:34 AM

Marilyn ([email protected]) If you re-read the conversation flow, I was referring to here_today's correction of my error in diagnosing what [png] stood for.
Play nice, I'm on the same team.

FainaAgain Nov 1st, 2004 11:46 AM

Hmmm... where do you see that icon of a couple? All I see is flying Muffin in his leather pan(t)s

M-wah :*

Marilyn Nov 1st, 2004 12:03 PM

Apologies, TripleSec. That came out snippier than I meant it to. You're right, I was not following the flow too well. :-(
