do you EVER shut up?? :) Hey you from the 49th state, miss me? The dog was rolling around in the overturned bucket of dead coqui frogs so I had to give her a bath, no lush bath bombs for her, no siree bob. there was a cane spider on the faucet, thought of you...can you get your cousins from S.A. to let me stay at their place next time I head to Africa? Which will be in October. Do they know you talk too much? If Statia has the convention at her place, you can not do the monologue or we'll never eat!!

matnikstym Jun 28th, 2006 08:18 PM

and you should bow down to your neighbor from the 50th state as I put this over the 200 mark. you should not have threatened your husband, he wouldn't have gone fishing!

Nora_S Jun 28th, 2006 09:21 PM

I used to boycott anything from S.A. but those days are over now, and I have to admit we buy the Goats do Roam wine. Very nice.

Hey everyone----she waid she wanted to write a novel---maybe this is it and we all have starring roles. Especially you, matnikstym.

matnikstym~ you Dawg! Thanks for making me follow through. I was wondering if I'd hear back from you again. Hope you have a nice weekend, and thanks for playing along in my detour from the real world(though some of it is mostly true, and I've santized the juicier bits so as to achieve 200 status, ha ha.)
Nora S~ yes, it was amazing to visit such a beautiful country and meet people who treated us like royalty for two months. It was the beginning of the change... The people there were so happy to talk to us, ask questions about America and so forth.
Many here did not understand that there was not one large united group vs. the goverment. They didn't know how many different groups existed within the black population, so we had an insider look. The Indians were segregated as well. I had mixed feelings and understood when the celebrities boycotted Sun City. We passed the shantytowns between the cities, by car and train.
Visiting Capetown and the lower third of the country opened my eyes and mind. I was able to drive a long distance and appreciate the rugged natural landscape.
Years later, my mother lived in Stellenbosch for a few years.
To this day, my relatives live in Pretoria, Jo'burg and Capetown. One of my big wishes is to eventually take my children back, and husband too.
You are great all good sports. You would be disappointed in real life if I made it to a gtg, mostly because I wouldn't be a zany wackadoo, only a quiet wine sipper with a twinkle in her eye. best to you, J.

matsee-poo! this is only for your eyes. Soon, I'll have a shiny new dancing pole with which to entertain the tourists.
I'm perfecting my back somersault into Chinese splits and balancing a jalapeno stuffed olive on my nose.
And yes, I do shut up, only after giggling myself into the land of the six sheepish sheep in Shlovakia, now you try.
My husband suggested that I start a website of my very own. Wouldn't that be like a real job though?
I will probably keep my job with the seal crack crew. They make a great Irish coffee.
Take good care of the doggy and be kind to Kermit. J.

so jet, you're saying you're all talk and no action???? must have been you at that disco in Waikiki in the 80's!

jetset1 Jun 29th, 2006 11:42 AM

Yes, I was there, but there are no more witnesses. I love those portable cement mixers btw... I am growing fearful though that reviving this tired old dawg post will result in the Ferengi starting a war..
Maybe it's time to just post recipes for fun! How about rhubarb crisp? I plan to make it for the cousins, "only with pleashah" as they like to say.
Okay, since you're not doing much but being friendly, is #124 in the 2005 batch you? If so, you bear a striking resemblance to Prince Charles.. sans Camilla of course.
Anyway, great photos. I looked briefly and will spy again later. J.

Good evening friends, vicious knids and secret admirers~ listen, I have myself convinced that there may actually be a formidable, all encompassing GTG, and I am quite excited about this.
With all the recent unwanted attention and controversy, I've been losing weight.
Now, if I could just get my dh to leave town, I'd drop five more from wine loss alone(I generally do not imbibe in his absence. What would the point be? Seducing myself?)
Anyway, I have started somewhat of a compelling outline of persuasive reasons with which to convince whoever runs this floating ship.
I will report back when things begin to "firm up". regards, J.

I'm there . . . . . who else is coming???

St. Louis is supposed to be in the center - that sounds good to me!!

sistahlou Aug 24th, 2006 01:24 PM

Help!!! I'm exhausted from the whole WBOG thing.....now you want me to read all this!!! Oh the horror.....

FainaAgain Aug 24th, 2006 01:26 PM

LOL Sistah!

"If we could all just get along for once" - sigh... deep sigh!

Kal Aug 28th, 2006 12:51 PM

Chicago, Dallas, St Lou are all one quick plane flight/car ride for most of us.

dcd Aug 28th, 2006 02:49 PM

Another vote for St Loo!!

wantsomesun Aug 28th, 2006 02:54 PM

How about the Javitz Center here in NYC and we'll get it catered. I could see several tables around the room with different offerings from restaurants all over the city. Now THAT would be fun.

JAGIRL Aug 28th, 2006 03:03 PM

I guess the cruise to St. Eustatius isn't on the list of possibilities anymore? ;)

Statia Aug 28th, 2006 07:47 PM

I'm still game, JAGIRL. We are the sleeply little island that is literally building up as I type this. Before you know it, we just might become the new St. Barth's. :)

angethereader Aug 29th, 2006 09:22 AM

I will bring the cheese.
So can you guess I'd vote for mid country?

jetset1 Aug 29th, 2006 10:13 AM

Due to liability and UFC rules, mud wrestling will be cancelled. Instead, we are having a fundraiser for hip replacements and cheekbone implants.
Unlike the airport, liquids will be permitted and encouraged.((d))((b))
Kal will be in charge of security, so bring small gifts if you wish to go through the "A" door, and shoes may be kept on.;)

Kal Aug 29th, 2006 10:19 AM

Since I'm in charge of Security I guess I can bring a knife so we can safely cut angethereader's cheese? \:D/

BayouGal Aug 29th, 2006 10:23 AM

What about attire? If this is a summer convention, then I change my vote to a beach convention. Kal must wear a speedo (and depending on who's attending - we may require this of all men in attendance. It's time the tables were turned on this world, and we'll begin with it being a "woman's world" at the National Convention.) Women, of course, can wear the suits of their choice.
