Geeko is a male? I had always detected something else. Whatever.

Patrick, nobody here is qualified to tell you what you are missing. You must seek it for yourself.

Isn't there a certain comic irony in that he conintually clicks on, reads, and adds to non-travel related threads just to complain about non-travel related threads?

snowrooster Sep 9th, 2005 09:21 AM

Anyone who can afford to wear her Uggs camping probably has a wardrobe I'd envy. :-)

OO Sep 9th, 2005 09:22 AM

snowrooster, yup, you got it. Problems in that city go back a long way and I'm sure haven't improved in the interim. Our nice house which sold in 1976 at a good price of $73,000, had property taxes of $48 a year. It would have been a hundred something except my husband was a veteran. Teachers didn't even have to have degrees. Deeeep deeep problems. As much as we loved it, like your Mom, we were happy to get the kids out.

snowrooster, I buy my Uggs at end of the season from the surfshop for around $40 a pair.

I leave my light blue ones at home and wear my 5 year old waterproofed tan ones camping!

<<However I don't think that should prevent us from sharing our opinion on policies if we choose to do so.>>

Fortunately, you CAN share your opiniions on government policies.

There are THOUSANDS (millions?) of policy, political, and general discussion groups on the internet. There are also groups dedicated to food, art, music, and catch all. Perhaps the lesson is not to expect Fodor's to be the ONLY place for online discussions/debate.

Does anybody else think OO's pseudonym looks like boobs? OO, are you a stripper?

For a prime example of a potentially travel related thread that immediately went downhill, check out the thread entitled: "holds on passports."

I give it 5 more minutes.

GoTravel Sep 9th, 2005 09:56 AM

Lawsy Judy, I'm just playing right along with the thread.

I can't help myself. It was too easy.

Someone please stop me before I post again.

Judy24 Sep 9th, 2005 09:58 AM

GoTravel, I hope you realize my reference wasn't to you, but rather the out-of-control OP.

By the way, so where did you emmigrate from? :)

OO Sep 9th, 2005 10:00 AM

Dreamer2...LOL...never would have occurred to me...but if you figure my age from my post to snowrooster, you might suggest I change that from OO to 00. giggle :D
